READ Leviticus 11:1-15:33
SITUATION God set forth his laws for purity. They included food, childbirth, skin diseases, and bodily fluids.
OBSERVATION Failure to obey these regulations was considered sin. While following God's laws did provide good hygienic results, they also separated the pure and clear from the impure and unclean. Israel was to be distinct from pagan nations surrounding them. We make decisions daily that may not be popular but may be proper.
INSPIRATION Anchor your convictions to the Word of God to help prevent crises from occurring in your life. When facing tough decision employ dogged and determined prayer and thinking grounded in the word.
Do what is right this week, whatever it is, whatever comes down the path, whatever problems and dilemmas you face--just do what's right. Maybe no one else is doing what's right, but you do what's right. You be honest. You take a stand. You be true. After all, regardless of what you do, God does what is right he saves you with his grace.
Never let your decisions be made on the basis of the blowing's of the winds of opinions and popularity.
The majority is not always right. If the majority had ruled, the children of Israel never would have left Egypt. They would have voted to stay in bondage. If the majority had ruled, David never would have fought Goliath. His brothers would have voted for him to stay with the sheep. What's the point? You must listen to your own heart.
God says you're on your way to becoming a disciple when you can keep a clear head and a pure heart.
Do you ever wonder if everything will turn out right as long as you do everything right? Do you ever try to do something right and yet nothing seems to turn out like you planned? Take heart-when people do what is right, God remembers. (From The Inspirational Bible "Decisions')
APPLICATION What decision's do you need to make today? Before you make your choice, consider what options would most honor God.
EXPLORATION Purity -- Psalm 24:4; Matthew 5:8; Philippians 4:6-8; 1 Thessalonians 4:12-8. Titus 1:15; 2:5.

This is truly a day of rememberance everywhere!
Love and Hugs ~ Kat
As we remember 9 11 let us look up in hope for our redemption draws near.
I have dedicated my Sept 11 post to all my American friends.
Great devotion Charlotte!
Remembering this day with all of America too!
A suggestion to CNN: On Saturday (and Sunday) another group will descend on the Mall for a positive cause. This weekend is the 24th annual Black Family Reunion Celebration, a "three-day cultural event celebrating the enduring strengths and traditional values of the African American family." How about reporting on African-Americans' views on taxes, health care, unemployment, etc? At least then you won't be merely echoing Fox News' coverage. After all, the tea party protesters have been given more than enough airtime on Fox News alone.
A group of racist are also going there at the same time.Pray that Glenn Beck racist won't kill little black children and families that day.
