Jim Elliot, Ed McCully, Pete Fleming, Nate Saint, and Roger Youderian, the crew of N5156H, flew to ecuador to take the gospel to the Waodoni people. When they were killed, Elisabeth Elliot (Jim's widow) went back and led them to the Lord.
Steven Curtis Chapman wrote this song NO GREATER LOVE as a tribute to these events, and the man chanting at the end was responsible for the deaths of two of the men of the mission team. Proof that God's grace is more powerful than any sin.

Charlotte,
Just goes to show that God can use things that would be considered bad or evil to bring about good. This finally answers the question, Why God?
