My Soul Finds Rest in God

 Thus the heavens and the earth
were completed in all their vast array.

By the seventh day God had finished the work he had been doing;
so on the seventh day he rested from all his work.

Then God blessed the seventh day and made it holy,
because on it he rested from all  the work
of creating that he had done.
Genesis 2: 1-3

Yes, my soul, finds rest in God;
    my hope comes from him.
 Truly he is my rock and my salvation;
    he is my fortress, I will not be shaken.
 My salvation and my honor depend on God;
    he is my mighty rock, my refuge.
 Trust in him at all times, you people;
    pour out your hearts to him,
    for God is our refuge.

Psalm 62:5-8

“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened,
and I will give you rest.

Take my yoke upon you and learn from me,
for I am gentle and humble in heart,
and you will find rest for your souls.
Matthew 11:28-30

one day my pastor was challenged by a person from the congregation after announcing he was going on vacation. The person said "you are going on vacation? The devil never takes a vacation..." to which the pastor replied "I know... and if I don't, I'll be just like him
