A Call for Discernment

"Live to explain thy doctrine by thy life." Matthew Prior

Justin Peters

Does God have a Master Plan for your life? The press release posted yesterday stated the following:

"God has a plan uniquely designed for every person in every situation on the face of the earth," states Gloria Copeland. "And it is a wonderful plan filled with goodness, blessing, peace, joy, health and financial stability. If you desire to have these principals operating in your life, you need to connect with His master plan for you."

In matters of faith we called to have spiritual discernment. Which is why Caron of Los Angeles posted this comment:

Justin is an evangelist and in addition to expository preaching, also holds seminars on the “Word of Faith” movement. He has cerebral palsy and concurs with the apostle Paul, “My grace is sufficient for thee.”

"The influence of two loving Christian parents coupled with the challenges of Cerebral Palsy led Justin to begin inquiring about salvation at an early age. Shortly after a visit with his then pastor, Dr. John G. McCall, God graciously saved Justin at age seven. God's call on Justin's life to vocational ministry came in November 1995 while attending Mississippi State University. "

"As stated above, I do suffer from a relatively mild case of Cerebral Palsy. God has used my handicap to keep me dependent upon Him and to help shape me into the man He wants me to be (a work in progress for all of us). That my Cerebral Palsy is a part of my ministry, there can be no doubt. However, it is not the center of my ministry. As an invited guest to your church or ministerial endeavor, I pledge that I will never under any circumstances use my handicap to emotionally manipulate your people for money and/or decisions. I have seen this tactic employed by some; it will not be employed by me. Any decision based upon emotion alone is a false decision." ~Justin

"Justin Peters came to Sycamore Baptist Church in the spring of 2002 as a student evangelist. In less than one week, God used Justin to change the very heart of the church. We had just come through a major spiritual battle and many of the saints were wounded. Justin brought a spirit of wisdom and compassion far beyond his years. His impact was so effective we invited him back in October for a series of meetings. He spoke to children and adults during these meetings, and the results have been breathtaking. The kingdom of God is still growing as a result. We have baptized more as a direct result of God using Justin's proclamation of the Gospel than we did in the previous three years combined.

When you invite Justin to speak at your church, you can expect God to begin to truly live among your people. Sycamore Baptist Church had the best per capita to salvation ratio of any Southern Baptist church in the Northern Illinois area for 2002."
