Build Your House on Faith

READ Hosea 6:1-10:15

SITUATION God called Hosea to be a living parable to Israel. God loved his people despite their unfaithfulness.

OBSERVATION God wants us to be faithful to him. It hurts him to see us wander away.

INSPIRATION Don't build your house on a career. Don't build your house on a thrill. Don't build your house on a talent. Don't build your house on one solitary earthly relationship. Don't pursue things that don't last. Build your house on the only thing that can last: faith.

Do you have faith? If you have faith, then you have what it takes to tackle your problems before they tackle you. If you have the confident hope, then you will know how to handle what ever life brings you.

One thing no one can take away from you is your faith. This world can and make everything you have. But no one can take away your faith. Grab that faith; clutch tightly that anchor of the soul.

Make your faith an independent dogged faith, firmly planted in God's sacrificed Son on the Hill of Calvary. It can never be taken away from you. (From The Inspirational Bible, "Faith")

APPLICATION Write down one situation in which you faith is being tested. Pray about this situation and ask God to strengthen your faith in this specific area. Thank god for how he is going to help your faith grown through these circumstance.

EXPLORATION Faithfulness-- Psalm 32:23; Habakkuk 2:4; 1 Corinthians 16:13; Galatians 5:22; 2 Thessalonians 1:3; 2 Timothy 2:2; Revelation 2:10.
